STORYTELLING

I walked 4,000 miles from southern California to eastern Maine — from a wall to a lighthouse — from west to east, Pacific to Atlantic, Mexico to Canada.

I’m writing a book about it now. About the generous, surprising, vulnerable people, the vibrant, churning, giving landscapes, the division amongst us and the potential for face-to-face connection. About processing divorce. About falling in love. About this horrible, wonderful, destructive, mythical idea called America.

EDUCATION

I teach filmmaking and media literacy, from documentary to stop motion to screenwriting. I currently teach in the Digital Cinema department at Southern Oregon University, and the WAMS Digital Media Program at Ashland Middle School.

Creative expression celebrates, challenges, and vibrates our world. I believe in collaborating to honor storytellers' experiences and unpack the power of media.
